Speech & Drama ~
Entries are Closed - Winners announced!
It is time to say congratulations to all the amazing young competitors, notably the dedicated staff, supportive parents, wonderful volunteers and adjudicator (Sharon Holmes) for their contributions to this year’s Warrnambool Primary Speech and Drama Eisteddfod.
Without their combined efforts, the truly wonderful celebration of reading, writing, poetry, drama and creative expression would not have benefited so many children.
Much of the material presented was contemporary, classical and entertaining in nature; embellished by literary prowess by all! Some as young as five, some up to twelve or thirteen, some individuals and some with partners. It was nurtured in an engaging and supportive setting mostly amongst peers, school staff and family.
As it was an Eisteddfod, it was a competition with placed prizes. But as the whole week unfolded, all competitors were congratulated as WINNERS for their bravery, talent, efforts and work in front of an audience.
It was a delight to share the presentations with the outstanding and respectful audiences; particularly the children; some who sat and graciously applauded for extended periods of time.
Over 470 student entries were entered by school students and individuals competing including those from:
West Warrnambool Primary School
East Warrnambool Primary School
Merrivale Primary School
Woolsthorpe Primary School
St. Pius X Primary School
St. John’s Primary School
